“How often should I replace my toothbrush?”
This question is one that we hear asked frequently, but also not frequently enough! The ADA (American Dental Association) recommends that you should replace your toothbrush or electric brush head every 3 months. They suggest this as research has shown that your toothbrush becomes less effective when the bristles begin to break down. A less effective toothbrush means that it is not doing a proper job cleaning.
It is also recommended that you replace your toothbrush after being sick too.
