Digital X-Rays
Kandl Dental's office is equipped with the latest dental technology for your benefit. At our office we use digital x-rays. The digital X-rays we use provide a safe and convenient alternative to traditional film X-rays because they require significantly less radiation and can be viewed instantly. These digital images help Dr. Kandl and the rest of our team detect:
- Decay between the teeth
- Abnormalities in the mouth
- Tumors or cysts
The diagnostic information we receive from the digital X-rays help us to create a more accurate customized treatment plan, and digital X-rays can be taken in just a few minutes in the chair. Intraoral Scanner
Our intraoral scanner provides us with the ability to take impressions for crowns without using trays or impression material. It provides patients with a comfortable alternative to traditional impressions, particularly if you have a strong gag reflex. This scan will take thousands of images to create a 3d full color replica of your intraoral cavity. The scan can be sent to the lab to be 3D printed and have your final crown fabricated and returned to place in your mouth. Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras give us the unique opportunity to show you what's going on in your mouth. An intraoral camera is a small, pen-sized instrument that takes digital images of your mouth. These digital images can be:
- Shown chair-side to help you understand why we recommend specific treatments
- Sent to insurance companies and other dentists or dental specialists as necessary
- Used to track the progress of your treatment
Our Intraoral cameras can get in hard to reach places that other cameras cannot.
